Adobe expands Firefly with AI Assistant and 30 plus AI models

New Delhi: The way people create content is changing fast, and big tech firms are racing to simplify the process. I have seen creators jump between apps just to finish one video or image. It gets messy, honestly. Now, companies are trying to bring everything into one place, and that seems to be the next big shift.

Adobe has introduced its new Firefly AI Assistant, a tool designed to bring multiple creative workflows into a single interface. The announcement builds on Adobe’s broader push into AI-powered creative tools and what it calls “agentic creativity”.

Firefly AI Assistant aims to simplify content creation

The new assistant lets users describe what they want in simple language. The system then handles multiple steps across apps like Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, and Lightroom.

Adobe said the tool can manage complex workflows without users switching between apps. David Wadhwani said, “Adobe is leading the shift into a new era of agentic creativity, where you direct how your work takes shape and your perspective, voice and taste become the most powerful creative instruments of all.”

Video and image editing tools get upgrades

Adobe has also expanded Firefly’s editing features. The updates focus on both video and image workflows.

Some key additions include:

  • Better audio tools like speech cleanup and noise reduction
  • Advanced color controls for video editing
  • New image tools like Precision Flow and AI Markup

These changes aim to give users more control while keeping the process simple.

Expanding AI models and partnerships

Firefly now supports over 30 AI models. This includes tools from companies like Runway, Google, and ElevenLabs.

Adobe is also working with Anthropic to connect Firefly with external AI platforms. Paul Smith said, “The best creative work flows between thinking and making.”

He added that the goal is to help creators move from idea to execution faster using AI tools.

What this means for creators

The bigger picture is about control and speed. Adobe is trying to reduce friction in creative work. Instead of jumping between apps, users can manage tasks in one place.

For now, Firefly AI Assistant is expected to roll out soon. The real test will be how creators use it in daily work.
