Idli Dosa Song: CSK angry over ‘Idli-Dosa’ song, filed complaint against RCB in BCCI! | Csk Files Bcci Complaint Over Idli Dosa Song At Rcb Match

Controversy has erupted over playing the song “Dosa, Idli” during the RCB-CSK match in IPL 2026. CSK has filed an official complaint with BCCI calling it insulting. This incident took place in the match held in Bengaluru on 5th April.

Bengaluru: A new controversy has erupted between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after a high-voltage match of IPL 2026. CSK management has lodged an official complaint with BCCI regarding the song “Dosa, Idli, Sambar, Chutney” played in the stadium during the match. He alleges that this song was played to insult his players and team.

This entire incident took place on April 5, when the match between the two teams took place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. During the match, the DJ of the stadium played a song in which words like idli, dosa, sambar and chutney were used. The Chennai team has considered it not just a song but a deliberate strategy to tease the players of their team.

CSK wrote a letter to BCCI

According to a report in ‘Indian Express’, CSK Managing Director Kasi Vishwanathan has expressed his displeasure over this. He said, “Normally DJs are there to support the host team. But the atmosphere at Chinnaswamy Stadium was different. Some specific comments were made against our players. Keeping this in mind, we have written a letter to BCCI and requested them to investigate the matter.”

Jitesh Sharma sang this song last year!

This controversy also has an old link. Last year, before the match against Chennai, RCB had posted a video of their wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma, in which he was singing the song ‘Idli-Dosa’. At that time, CSK fans had trolled Jitesh, but it did not become such a big controversy at that time. Let us tell you that this song has been composed by musician ‘Gaana Appu’.

RCB has the upper hand in Southern Derby

The clash between RCB and CSK is called the ‘Southern Derby’ of IPL. Although CSK has won more matches in head-to-head matches, the Bengaluru team has dominated Chennai in recent seasons. In the match held on April 5, RCB defeated Chennai by 43 runs. Batting first after losing the toss, RCB scored its highest score of this season, 250 runs. Tim David scored 70 runs in just 25 balls with the help of 8 sixes. Devdutt Padikkal contributed 50, Rajat Patidar 48, Phil Salt 46 and Virat Kohli contributed 28 runs. Chasing the big target, CSK could score only 207 runs. For RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 3 wickets, while Abhinandan Singh, Jacob Duffy and Krunal Pandya took 2 wickets each. With this match, Bhuvi also completed his 200 wickets in IPL.
