OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) – The Ottawa Senators secured a 3-1 victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night in their regular-season finale, with both teams preparing for the playoffs.
Drake Batherson and Warren Foegele contributed power-play goals to the Senators’ win.
Dylan Cozens sealed the game with an empty-net goal, while goaltender James Reimer recorded 19 saves against his former team. The Senators concluded the season with a record of 44-27-11, earning the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference, and will face the Carolina Hurricanes in the first round.
