New Delhi: A major accident happened in Rajasthan’s Pali on Tuesday morning. The accident involving a motorcycle was reported from near the Balaji Temple, located on Ramdev Road in the city at around 7 am. The two bike-borne men were reportedly trying to avoid stray dogs on the road, when the unfortunate incident happened.
Bike hits electricity pole at high speed, 2 grievously injured
According to reports, as the 2 bike-borne men were trying to navigate the stretch of the road, while trying to avoid the dogs, their vehicle hit an electricity pole. The impact of the hit was so hard that the motorcycle was completely damaged and the men suffered grievous injuries.
Eyewitnesses said that the men were going towards Pinjrapole Gaushala. It was at this time that 3 to 4 stray dogs started barking at them and running behind their vehicle. In order to avoid the dogs, the motorcycle rider increased the speed of his vehicle. He lost control of the vehicle soon after and his motorcycle hit an electricity pole on the side of the road, they added.
As soon as the bike hit the pole, both men were flung into the air and fell on the road. They lost consciousness, said people who witnessed the accident. Hearing the loud sound post the accident, locals rushed to the spot and helped the injured. After getting information about the accident, the relatives and family members of the victims also rushed to the spot.
Accident caught on CCTV camera, dogs seen running behind bike
The entire accident was caught on CCTV cameras installed nearby. The dogs can be seen chasing the bike, in the video that has been released by the police. Of the 2 injured men, one is a minor.
The injured have been identified as 18-year-old Parbat Singh, who is a resident of Rajat Nagar on Ramdev Road and 12-year-old Bhavesh. While Parbat suffered fractures to his leg and shoulder, Bhavesh suffered severe injuries to his face. Both of them have been admitted to a private hospital in Pali and are currently undergoing treatment. Doctors at the hospital said that the injured are currently in a critical condition.
Following the accident, locals were enraged. They complained that this incident had highlighted the dangers posed by stray dogs in the area. They claimed that the number of stray dogs in the area is continuously rising and there have been accidents like this in the past as well. They demanded that the administration and the municipal office take immediate steps to contain the rise of stray dogs in the area, so that any such future accidents can be prevented.
