IPL Points Table 2026 updated: Orange Cap, Purple Cap holder list after RCB vs LSG match

New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) produced a commanding all-round display to blow Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) away and move to the top of the table in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. RCB thrashed LSG by five wickets comfortably at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru to bag their second win in a row and go on top.

It was one of the most complete performances from the defending champions, who bundled out LSG for a paltry 146 after asking them to bat first in the game and then chased down the target with as many as 4.5 overs to spare. RCB bowlers starred in the victory with a superb display as a unit.

Rasikh Salam Dar picked up a four-wicket haul while veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged three wickets to keep the LSG batting line-up quiet at the Chinnaswamy. Josh Hazlewood set the tone in the Powerplay with tight lines before Raikh drew the first blood to remove Aiden Markram cheaply on 12.

He later dismissed Ayush Badoni, Mukul Choudhary and tail-ender Avesh Khan to finish with exceptional figures of 4/24 off his 4 overs. Hazlewood bagged the crucial wicket of Nicholas Pooran, while Bhuvneshwar dismissed an injured Rishabh Pant, George Linde and Mohammed Shami. Krunal Pandya also picked up two wickets as RCB skittled out LSG for 146 runs.

Virat Kohli shut injury concerns with a fluent 49 off 34 deliveries to lead RCB’s run chase at home. Kohli, along with skipper Rajat Patidar (27 off 13) and Jitesh Sharma (23 off 9), helped RCB chase down the target of 148 runs in just 15.1 overs to secure a thumping victory. RCB moved to the top of the IPL 2026 points table with the victory.
