An incident has come to light from the Nashik office of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), one of the country’s largest IT companies, which has raised serious questions on the corporate work culture. According to NDTV, a female employee has alleged that she was forced to work alone on a rooftop separate from the main office building and that her phones and personal belongings were confiscated. After this matter came to light, the police investigation has intensified and till now many people have been arrested.
“I was made to sit alone on the terrace…” Claims the victim.
Talking to NDTV, the female employee told that she has been working in the company for the last 6 years. After transfer, he had to face a different situation in Nashik office. He says that he was made to work sitting in a rooftop area separate from the main office building. Whenever she came down, her phone, bag and other personal belongings were confiscated in the name of “security”. The victim also claimed that many young employees in the office, especially women, were being targeted and attempts were made to influence them mentally.

“20-25 year old girls were targeted”
According to the female employee, 20 to 25 year old girls were approached in the office considering them as easy targets. He said that if someone tried to complain, the atmosphere was such that there was a fear of even going to HR. She also said that if she had not come out in time, a serious incident could have happened to her. After this revelation, there is an atmosphere of fear and anxiety in his family also.
Second employee’s claim: “Relationship and pressure to change religion”
Meanwhile, a contract employee also told that some people used to instigate male employees to befriend and marry Hindu girls. Along with this, there was also talk of religious conversion and it was also claimed that money would be given in return. However, the investigation into these allegations is still going on and the police is investigating every aspect.
9 complaints from 2022 to 2026, SIT investigation started
According to Nashik Police, 9 complaints related to mental and sexual harassment have been registered in this case between February 2022 and March 2026. These include complaints of 8 women employees. Considering the seriousness of the case, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed, which is investigating all the allegations in depth.
7 accused arrested, HR manager also included
Police have so far arrested 7 accused, including the HR manager. It is alleged that if they complained, the employees were threatened with being fired from the job. Investigation has also revealed that one of the accused had physical relations with a woman on the pretext of marriage. At the same time, allegations of molestation, objectionable comments and mental harassment have also been made in other cases. A female employee is still reported missing, which has made the matter more serious.
TCS statement: “Zero tolerance policy, full cooperation in investigation”
Tata Consultancy Services has issued an official statement on this entire matter. The company has said that it does not tolerate any kind of harassment or pressure at all. According to the company, the employees against whom the allegations are made have been suspended pending the completion of the investigation and full cooperation is being given to the local administration.
Chairman’s statement: “The matter is very serious and worrying”
Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran described the incident as “extremely serious and tragic”. He said that the matter is being investigated thoroughly and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
