On the 25th foundation day of NSTFDC, Minister Jual Oram said that the corporation has given loans of more than Rs 4000 crore to more than 16 lakh tribal beneficiaries. This organization is making people self-reliant by promoting entrepreneurship.

Raipur. Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram underlined the important and transformative role of the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC) in empowering the Scheduled Tribe communities across the country. He said that the objective of NSTFDC is not only to provide employment but also to motivate the tribal youth for entrepreneurship, so that they can become employment providers and not job seekers.

Minister’s address on the 25th Foundation Day

In the 25th Foundation Day program of NSTFDC held on 10 April 2026 in New Delhi, Shri Jual Oram described the Corporation as a major catalyst in promoting tribal entrepreneurship. He said that this institution is playing an important role in making the tribal communities of the country self-reliant.

Beneficiaries of Chhattisgarh got respect

On this occasion, selected beneficiaries from Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh – Kishan Dhruv (Grocery Business) and Dhanraj Thakur (Photo Studio Business) were honored for their successful efforts. Praveen Kumar Lata, representative of Chhattisgarh State Antyavasayi Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation was also welcomed. All of them were honored by the Minister with citations and mementos and their business work was appreciated.

Unsecured Loan Scheme: Easy Financial Assistance

Emphasizing on the people-centric policies of NSTFDC, Minister Jual Oram said that the corporation provides financial assistance without any guarantee (collateral-free). Due to this, the benefits of the schemes are reaching more and more tribal beneficiaries and they are able to start their business easily.

More than 16 lakh loans distributed, more than Rs 4000 crore assistance

Speaking to the media, the Minister said that NSTFDC has so far given loans to more than 16 lakh beneficiaries. Overall, an amount of more than Rs 4000 crore has been disbursed, which is a major achievement towards the economic empowerment of the tribal community.

In this program organized at the World Youth Center in New Delhi, Secretary of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs Ranjana Chopra, Joint Secretary Anant Prakash Pandey, NSTFDC Chairman and Managing Director T. Raumuan Paite, Central Zone Head Vikas Ranjan and many senior officials and representatives of state channeling agencies were present.
