New Delhi: Asus has announced a new lineup of consumer laptops in India, with a refresh of the Vivobook and Zenbook series. The Vivobook A series focuses on weight, while the Vivobook S series focuses on slimness. The Zenbook series is a more premium offering, with the ceramisised aluminium or Ceraluminium chassis, an innovation by Asus. Prices for the Zenbook series starts at Rs 179,990 while the Vivobook devices have a starting price of Rs 98,990. The devices will be available from 21 April, with the Zenbook A16 being available soon. Asus has started taking pre-orders for the Zenbook devices.

From advanced materials like Ceraluminum™ to thinner, lighter form factors, our goal is to create devices that are not only powerful but also intuitive and comfortable to use. We remain committed to delivering greater value through premium craftsmanship and intelligent performance that evolves with the needs of today’s consumers.” Limited-period benefits include two year extended warranty and three year accidental damage protection at Rs 999, with customers of the Zenbook Duo also receiving an Asus Vigour Backpack.
Which device to buy?
The Asus Vivobook classic series, the 14 and 16 are the cheapest devices in the lineup, with prices starting at 98,990. These use a PBS plastic construction. The Asus Vivobook S series have a more premium metal construction, with prices starting at Rs 128,990. For those who travel frequently, or move around constantly in an office environment, the Zenbook A14 and A16 offer lightweight options, both featuring the premium Ceraluminium chassis. Prices for the A14 start at Rs 185,990, while the A16 has a starting price of Rs 199,990. The Zenbook S14 with a ceraluminium chassis has a starting price of Rs 179,990. The one that we really liked is the Zenbook Duo, with a redesigned hinge that brings the two screens almost seamlessly together. This device has a starting price of Rs 299,990.
