Naagzilla new release date: Actor Kartik Aaryan is preparing to return to the big screen with an unusual fantasy adventure. His upcoming film Naagzilla has officially received a new release date, with the makers announcing it will now arrive in cinemas on February 12, 2027.
The announcement came on Wednesday (April 15) alongside a fresh poster reveal that offered another glimpse into the film’s imaginative world. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, best known for the popular Fukrey series, the film blends comedy, fantasy and folklore.
Naagzilla gets new release date
Originally scheduled for release on August 14, 2026, the project has now been pushed back by several months. The revised timeline suggests that the filmmakers are taking additional time to shape the ambitious fantasy elements promised in the film’s concept.
Naagzilla explores a fictional world inspired by Indian mythology and folklore surrounding shape-shifting serpents. According to early descriptions, the story revolves around mystical snakes that move between the human world and the mythical Naag Lok.

The film is backed by an influential production team that includes Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta and Neetu M Jain.
Kartik Aaryan first announced the project in April last year through a striking motion poster shared on social media. In the visual, the actor appeared shirtless while standing inside a cavern filled with snakes, overlooking a city skyline.
In the caption accompanying the reveal, Kartik wrote: “I’ve seen many human stories, now watch a story of naags. #Naagzilla – Naag lok ka Pehla Kaand… Fun phailaane Aa raha hu main, Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand… Naag Panchami par aapke nazdeeki SsSsinemas mein. 14 August 2026 ko”.

Kartik Aaryan’s work front
The release update arrives during a quieter phase for Kartik Aaryan, whose name recently surfaced in online discussions regarding alleged Snapchat conversations with a minor. These accusations, however, remain unverified and largely stem from anonymous social media posts rather than confirmed reports.
Professionally, Kartik was last seen in the romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, which struggled at the box office despite releasing during the Christmas season.
