On 13 September 2025, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel completed 4 years of his service responsibility. These four years have been of service, dedication, good governance, industrial development and policy making. He carried forward the journey to make Gujarat the growth engine of the country with the inspiration of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister ensured that the benefit of development reached every citizen of the state. Today, Gujarat is moving rapidly towards becoming a leader in emerging areas like renewable energy, semiconductor and artificial intelligence.

  • Born on 15 July 1962 in Ahmedabad.
  • Civil engineering studies from Ahmedabad Government Polytechnic College.
  • Joined BJP in 1987.
  • Chairman of Standing Committee of Memnagar Municipality in 1995-96.
  • President of Memnagar Municipality from 1999-2000 and 2004-2006.
  • Vice Chairman of AMC School Board from 2008-2010.
  • Councilors of Thaltej ward from 2010-2015.
  • Chairman of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (Auda) from 2015-2017.
  • In 2017, he was elected MLA from Ghatlodia Assembly.
  • He became the 17th Chief Minister of Gujarat on 13 September 2021.
  • He became the Chief Minister for the second consecutive time on 12 December 2022, winning an overwhelming majority in the 2022 election.

  • Illegal construction was removed from Chandola pond in Ahmedabad and 4 lakh square meters of land was freed.
  • In Dwarka and Somnath, illegal occupation was removed and thousands of square meters of land was made available to the public.
  • The zero tolerance policy on corruption was adopted. Strict action was taken against about 50 government officials.
  • Strict laws were made to prevent disturbances in recruitment and board examinations.
  • The public gave the benefit of Rs 400 crore to the public by decreasing the electricity rates by 15 paise.
