New Delhi [भारत]July 20 (ANI): The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which is planning to march to Parliament on Monday to register its protest over the NEET exam leak issue, has alleged that its founder Abhijit Dipke has been “picked up” by Delhi Police as the protests intensified.
CJP’s chief spokesperson Saurav Das blamed ‘X’ and said, “Dipke has been picked up by the police! We request all the MPs to immediately stand in support of the students present on the streets! The police is acting brutally and beating the peaceful protesters.”
Earlier today, Deepke ended his indefinite hunger strike on the request of activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is currently admitted at Safdarjung Hospital. Dipke started the fast when Wangchuk was hospitalized on July 18, following his 21-day hunger strike.

Police lathicharged and dispersed the protesters
Earlier, police resorted to mild lathicharge to disperse hundreds of protesters trying to march towards the Parliament House. The protest, which started from Jantar Mantar, led to huge traffic jams as a large number of security personnel were deployed to control the crowd.
According to a police advisory, protest marches, processions, demonstrations and gathering of five or more persons are prohibited without prior permission at the designated protest site at Jantar Mantar. Security has been increased near the campus in view of the monsoon session starting today. (ANI)
