Sunrisers Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has suffered a major setback amid IPL 2026. England’s fast bowler Brayden Carse is out of the entire season due to injury. Brayden Kars was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 1 crore. He was a part of the same team last season also. However, he did not get a chance to play the match. Now, in his place, Sunrisers Hyderabad has included a fast bowler from Sri Lanka in its squad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has included Sri Lankan young left-arm fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka in the team in place of Brayden Carse for the remaining matches of IPL 2026. Madushanka will be given Rs 75 lakh for this replacement. Dilshan Madushanka has played 1 Test, 28 ODI and 19 T20 International matches for Sri Lanka. He has taken a total of 70 wickets in international cricket. He is known for bowling with swing and pace.

Let us tell you, Madushanka has earlier joined Mumbai Indians in IPL, he became a part of this team in the year 2024. Then he was bought by Mumbai for Rs 4.6 crore. However, he did not get a chance to debut. In such a situation, he is already familiar with the environment and conditions of the league. His experience can give new energy to SRH’s pace attack.
