A big news has come for the farmers of Chhattisgarh. Work related to farming is going to become easier now. The government has taken such steps to strengthen cooperatives, through which farmers will be able to get many facilities in their own villages.
Under the guidance of Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, 515 new Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies (PACS) have been formed in the state. These committees will be virtually inaugurated by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on April 15.
What is PACS and why is it so important?
PACS i.e. Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies are institutions working at the village level. Here farmers easily get loans, fertilizers, seeds and other important things related to farming. Till now many farmers had to go far to get these facilities, but with the formation of new committees this problem will be eliminated to a great extent.
