Songs of Paradise: Neetu Kapoor Praises Samdhan Soni Razdan’s Film, Says ‘You Were So Good’

Neetu Kapoor has expressed heartfelt admiration for Soni Razdan, mother of Alia Bhatt, for her remarkable performance in the recently released film Songs of Paradise . The film, which premiered on an OTT platform, has been receiving warm reviews from audiences and critics alike.

The story follows Zeba Akhtar, a young woman who challenges societal expectations to pursue her passion and becomes the legendary singer Noor Begum (also known as Raj Begum), the first female voice on Radio Kashmir. The film is loosely inspired by the life of the Padma Shri awardee and highlights her struggle for recognition in a conservative society, as well as her enduring contributions to Kashmiri music.

The film also stars Taaruk Raina, Sheeba Chadha, Zain Khan Durrani, and Lillete Dubey in significant roles, adding depth to the storyline.

Alia Bhatt also shared her appreciation for Songs of Paradise and praised her mother’s performance.
