CBSE Class 10 Result 2026 likely soon, DigiLocker asks students to prepare early

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education is likely to declare the Class 10 Board Examination 2026 Session 1 results soon. DigiLocker, which is run by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has asked students to prepare in advance instead of waiting for the result day.

In a post on X, DigiLocker urged students to create and verify their accounts early. This move suggests that the results may be released shortly.

DigiLocker setup and APAAR ID details

DigiLocker has shared steps for students, especially those who do not have an APAAR ID. Students can create their accounts through the CBSE services portal.

Students who already have APAAR IDs linked with CBSE will get their digital marksheets directly in the Issued Documents section after the results are announced. The platform said this will help students access their results instantly without waiting.

Result date and exam schedule

CBSE has not officially announced the result date and time. However, the results are expected earlier than usual because the second phase of exams is planned for May 2026.

This year, nearly 25 lakh students are waiting for the Class 10 results. Last year, CBSE released both Class 10 and Class 12 results on May 13.

Two phase exam system introduced

From the 2026 academic session, CBSE has started a two phase board exam system for Class 10. Under this system, students can improve their scores in up to three subjects by appearing again in Session 2.

The Class 10 exams ended on March 11, while Class 12 exams concluded on April 10. Both exams began on February 17.

Where and how to check results

Students can check their results on official websites such as cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in, and umang.gov.in.

To access the results, students will need their roll number, school number, admit card ID, date of birth, and security pin.

Apart from websites, results will also be available through DigiLocker, the UMANG app, SMS, and IVRS services. Digital marksheets and certificates will be issued through DigiLocker after the declaration.

Students who fail in one or two subjects will be allowed to appear for compartment exams. CBSE will release the schedule for these exams after the results are declared.
