IPL 2026: Rajasthan Royals unhinged by Sunrisers Hyderabad debutant pacers

New Delhi: Table toppers Rajasthan Royals slumped to a 57-run loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday for their first loss of IPL 2026, unable to negotiate the variations of debutant seamers Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain.

They won the toss and invited SRH to bat only to concede 216 for six following which they suffered a top-order collapse to get bowled out for 159 in 19 overs.

While bowling, Rajasthan suffered at the hands of SRH skipper Ishan Kishan, who tonked eight boundaries and six sixes in a 44-ball 91.

During their chase, they were dismantled by debutants Hinge (4/24) and Hussain (4/24).

Hinge became the first bowler to claims three wickets in the opening over of an innings in an IPL match.

The right-armer dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (0), Dhruv Jurel (0) and Lhuan-dre Pretorius (0) as Rajasthan were reduced to one for three in the first over and could never recover from that shock.
