Bengaluru: About 30 Congress MLAs have reached Delhi to express their protest over the delay in cabinet reshuffle in Karnataka. The aim of these MLAs is to put pressure on the party high command to reshuffle the cabinet and get ministerial posts. There are reports that many MLAs are camping in Karnataka Bhawan in Delhi.

This MLA K.C. Will meet big AICC leaders like Venugopal and Randeep Singh Surjewala. This group of MLAs is also trying to meet Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. This step has been taken after a meeting held in March, in which some MLAs had decided to put pressure together.

MLAs say that many leaders have become ministers many times, but many people have not got even a single opportunity till now. MLA Belur Gopalkrishna said, “Some leaders have been ministers three, four or five times. We are going to demand that those who have not got ministerial posts till now be given a chance.”

Another MLA Ashok Pattan also demanded reshuffle. He said, “We request that the cabinet be reshuffled as soon as possible and senior members like us should be given a chance.”

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had earlier hinted at changes after two years, but no changes have taken place till now. Apart from this, the MLAs are also demanding expansion of the cabinet. These MLAs demand that the number of ministers should be increased to 25.
