The next wheel of SpiceJet’s aircraft Q400 was found missing during flight. Due to this, Emergency was declared at Mumbai Airport. Thankfully, the aircraft safely landed on the ground with the help of its previous wheels.
Spicejet flight front wheel missing: An next wheel of the SpiceJet aircraft coming from Kandla in Gujarat to Mumbai was found missing. The aircraft was flying in the air when it was found that it did not have a next wheel. The nose of this aircraft has two wheels below. One of them fell.
Seeing the critical condition of the aircraft, a complete emergency was declared at Mumbai Airport. Full security arrangements were made. The fire brigade vehicles were stationed near the runway. Meanwhile, it has been a relief that the aircraft managed to land with its previous wheels. The remaining work was done by one wheel left. Due to this incident, all flights were postponed at Mumbai Airport by 5 pm.
SpiceJet’s wheel fell on flying from Kandla
The next wheel disappeared with SpiceJet’s Bombardier DHC8-400 aircraft. According to the TOI report, at 2.39 pm on Friday afternoon, the aircraft flew from Kandla’s runway 23. At the time of takeoff, the tower controller noticed that a large black item had dropped from the aircraft. It fell on the right side on the runway and rolled like a tire. Riding in a jeep, the officer went to investigate and saw that the tire had fallen with a metal rings.
Bombardier DHC8-400 aircraft consists of 6 wheels
Let us know that the Bombardier DHC8-400 aircraft has a tricycle landing gear system. It consists of two wheels on noz gear and two main wheels on each main landing gear. There are a total of six wheels in this way.

On 12 September, an outer wheel of the SpiceJet Q400 aircraft going from Kandla to Mumbai was found on the runway. The aircraft continued its journey to Mumbai and settled safely. After smooth landing, the aircraft reached the terminal with its strength and all the passengers normally landed.
