Retail inflation at 3.4% in March; list of 5 key items with low inflation

New Delhi: Amid the West Asia crisis, Retail inflation increased marginally to 3.4 per cent in March, while it stood at 3.21 per cent in February, the government data released on Monday stated. Based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data, the rate of price rise in the food basket was 3.87 per cent in March; in February it was recorded at 3.47 per cent. CPI inflation for rural and urban stood at 3.63 per cent and 3.11 per cent, respectively.

In March 2025, year-on-year Housing inflation rate was 2.11% (Provisional) and the corresponding inflation rates for rural and urban were 2.54% and 1.95%, respectively.
