New Delhi: The National Testing Agency has issued the advance city intimation slip for candidates who registered from the NEET 2026 examination. The NEET exam is conducted in the country for admission to top medical colleges. The announcement regarding the release of intimation slips of the candidates was made through a public notice.
How can candidates get the intimation slip?
All candidates who have registered for the NEET 2026 examination can access the intimation slip by logging into the website through their application number and date of birth, reported the Times of India. This slip however is only to inform candidates regarding the city in which their examination centre will be located, said the agency. They clarified that this cannot be treated as the admit card of the NEET 2026 exam.
The NTA said that this intimation slip has been released so that the candidates can make advance travel bookings to the city, where the exam centre is located. They can also be able to decide where they would stay, in case they need to make a night halt if the city is located far off.
The admit card for the examination will be released separately and at a later stage, said officials. The candidates will need to carry the admit card to the exam centre, to appear for the examination.
In order to download the intimation slips, candidates can go to the official NEET or NTA website. They need to login using their credentials (Date of Birth and Registration number). Once they have logged in, they will be able to view the city where the centre would be located and then download the same.
The notice said that it was important for the candidates to check all details regarding the exam city and familiarise themselves with location, before the exam day.
Helpline numbers for candidates
The NTA also released helpline numbers for the candidates, in case they face any problems in downloading the city intimation slips. They can either call the helpline numbers provided by the NTA i.e., 011-40759000/011-69227700 or send an email to [email protected].
The notice also advised students and guardians to keep checking the official website for intimation regarding the NEET admit cards. The admit cards have not been released yet.
When is the NEET exam?
NEET UG 2026 is set to be conducted across 552 cities across India and 14 cities abroad. It is scheduled on May 3,2026, between 2 pm to 5 pm. The exam is being conducted in pen and paper mode, said the testing agency.
The exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate medical courses and is overseen by the NTA. It is conducted under the guidance of the National Medical Commission.
