In Jansath Tehsil, SDM Jayendra Singh has been suspended, taking big action in the 750 bigha government land scam. Former BJP MLA Vikram Saini had also made a complaint against him and accused him of corruption. The District Magistrate had investigated the case of allegedly lodging the land of the Darawal Corporate Farming Society in private names. This action has been taken after the investigation found prima facie disturbances in the investigation. This strictness of the administration has stirred up the revenue department.
A big land scam has come to light from the Jansath tehsil of Muzaffarnagar district, in which the current SDM Jayendra Singh has been seriously accused of making billions of government land to the farmer. The case is connected to the government land located in the village Isaqwala, where the Derawal Corporate Farming Society was established in 1962. The society had about 900 bighas of land.
Tehsil administration took the matter to High Court
There was a dispute between the grandson of Gulshan and Harbans (who had separated in 1972), son of Jeevan Das, a member of the society for a long time. In the year 2018, the Tehsil administration himself informed the High Court that Harbans had no connection with this land. Despite this, Jayendra Singh, who was posted as SDM in March 2024, resumed the hearing of the case.
Order changed overnight, land in the name of the farmer
On 19 July 2025, the SDM suddenly issued an order of 600 bigha society and 150 bigha government land in the name of Harbans. As soon as the society came to know about this, he met DM Umesh Mishra with his son Ishaan on 29 July. The DM, showing readiness, formed a three -member investigation team under the leadership of ADM.
After this, SDM Jayendra Singh canceled the order given overnight. The investigation team went to the bottom of the case and submitted a report to the DM, confirming the facts. After this, the complainant also met the DM and demanded action. It has been told that this land is located in front of the highway, on which the Society and the farmer had already moved the High Court to demand compensation.
The court refused to pay compensation, considering that land as government. Despite this, the same land was recorded in a private name by SDM Jayendra Singh Singh on paper. Administrative sources said that the government has suspended SDM Jayendra Singh on the report of the District Magistrate if he was proved guilty in this.
