New Delhi: The festive season in India is always a busy time for carmakers, but this year BMW has rolled out one of its biggest updates yet. From September 22, 2025, the German luxury brand will revise prices across its BMW and MINI line-up following the introduction of GST 2.0. Some models will see cuts of up to ₹13.6 lakh, making it one of the largest adjustments the company has done in recent years.
As buyers prepare to make big-ticket purchases during the season, BMW has positioned itself to catch attention with lower ex-showroom prices combined with flexible finance options. For automobile enthusiasts like me, this feels like the right moment to peek at the updated price sheet and see which cars suddenly look more attractive.
BMW Models Get Big Reductions
The reductions are visible across popular sedans, SUVs, and even high-performance M models. Here are some of the standout changes from the updated price list:
- BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase: The 320Ld M Sport drops from ₹65.3 lakh to ₹61.75 lakh, while the 330Li M Sport trims now start at ₹60.45 lakh.
- BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase: The 530Li M Sport now sits at ₹72.35 lakh, down from ₹76.5 lakh.
- BMW 7 Series: The 740d M Sport gets the biggest cut, dropping from ₹1.92 crore to ₹1.82 crore.
- BMW X5: The xDrive30d M Sport Pro sees its price fall from ₹1.15 crore to ₹1.07 crore.
- BMW Z4: The M40i convertible is now priced at ₹87.9 lakh, down from ₹92.9 lakh.
- BMW M2: The baby M car is trimmed to ₹1.00 crore from ₹1.06 crore.
- BMW M8: The flagship coupe falls from ₹2.52 crore to ₹2.38 crore.
For the SUV crowd, the BMW X1 now starts at ₹50.6 lakh for the petrol variant, and the diesel version goes down to ₹52.15 lakh. The larger BMW X3 is also cheaper, with prices cut by around ₹5 lakh.
MINI and Motorrad Prices Adjusted Too
It’s not just BMW cars that got revised. MINI models now come with trimmed tags as well. For example, the MINI Cooper S Essential Pack moves from ₹46.2 lakh to ₹43.7 lakh, while the JCW Pack sees a reduction from ₹57.5 lakh to ₹54.4 lakh.
Motorcycle enthusiasts will find the BMW G 310 RR reduced to ₹2.81 lakh from ₹3.05 lakh. Even the maxi-scooter C 400 GT drops by around ₹92,000, now sitting at ₹10.83 lakh.
What It Means for Buyers
For anyone eyeing a luxury upgrade, this is one of those rare festive seasons where prices have genuinely shifted downwards instead of climbing up. I still remember the year I test-drove a BMW X3 during Diwali only to watch the price creep up the next quarter. This year, buyers won’t face that frustration.
The largest benefits are visible on the high-end 7 Series and M performance models, but even entry models like the 2 Series and MINI Cooper are now more approachable for younger buyers planning their first luxury purchase.
