Kumki, which released in 2012, went on to become a huge hit at the box office, making it one of Tamil cinema’s most loved films. The film, starring debutants Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon, won the love of audiences, Thambi Ramaiah and Ashwin Raja’s comedy also worked well for the film.
The songs composed by D. Imman topped the charts. Now, the makers have announced, Kumki 2, the sequel to the film.

Prabhu Solomon, who directed the first part, is helming the second part as well. D Imman who remained as one of the main reason for the success of Kumki has been replaced by Nivas K Prasanna.

Pen Movies announced Arjun Das is on board Prabu Solomon’s Kumki 2. The upcoming film also stars Shrita Rao. Kumki 2 will be produced by Dhaval Gada, with Jayantilal Gada as the presenter. Pen Marudhar Cine Entertainments and Pen Studios are the banners backing the film.
The technical crew of the film includes M Sukumar as the director of photography, Buvan as thefilm’s editor, Vijay Thennarasu as the art director, and Stun Shiva as the stunt choreographer.
