JD Vance Iran Meeting: Big news is coming from the secret discussion between Iran and America going on in Pakistan. According to reports, America has further softened Iran’s two conditions. Here, Iran also says that if America moves forward on its interests by leaving ‘Israel First’, then a way for talks can be found.
US-Iran Peace Talks: The eyes of the world are currently focused on Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Where the big leaders of America and Iran are face to face at a table. But the most shocking news is that America, which always used to put pressure on Iran, seems to be a little soft this time. It is being said that Iran has set two conditions which have become impossible for Washington to ignore. Let us know what is going on behind the scenes and is America on the backfoot?
Iran’s first condition: Talk will be on ‘America first’, not ‘Israel first’
Iran’s Vice President Mohammad Reza Arif wrote on social media (X) that if America talks only keeping in mind ‘Israel’s interests’, then the agreement will never happen. Iran’s condition is simple that America should focus on its own benefits (America First). If America follows this agenda, only then the talks will move forward. Iran believes that America is causing harm to itself and the entire world by falling prey to Israel.
Iran’s second condition: the stuck money should be released immediately
To bring the talks back on track, America has accepted a very old demand of Iran. According to Reuters report, the US has agreed to release billions of dollars of Iran’s assets stuck in Qatar and other foreign banks. It is being considered a ‘goodwill gesture’. Actually Iran is in dire need of this money.
Why did America’s attitude soften?
The answer lies in the Strait of Hormuz and oil trade. Experts say that America’s biggest tension is the reopening of the ‘Strait of Hormuz’. If this route remains closed, the worldwide oil supply will stop. Currently, shipping data shows that more than 60 empty giant oil tankers (VLCC) are headed towards America. Each tanker has the capacity to carry 20 lakh barrels of oil. America wants this oil game to continue without any interruption and it is necessary to convince Iran for this.
Does Iran still not trust?
Even though talks are going on, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has clearly said that he does not have even an iota of trust in America. He says that America has repeatedly broken its promises. Here in Islamabad, Vice President JD Vance from the US side and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf from the Iranian side are holding the front. Experts believe that Iran is currently in a strong position and time is also in its favor, while America is under immense pressure to get results as soon as possible.
What if negotiations fail?
Iran has openly warned that if the agreement is not reached, it will go to any extent to protect itself. This will affect the entire world economy and oil prices may skyrocket. Not only this, it can affect everyone from Pakistan to America and JD Vance himself.
