Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in an important meeting on Friday that with the vision of “Innovate in UP, Scale for the World”, concrete, result-oriented and time-bound action should be taken to make Uttar Pradesh the “Deep Tech Capital” of the country. He directed the officials to make the state a leader in the field of technology by rapidly adopting new technologies.

Special focus on AI, quantum, drones and green hydrogen

The Chief Minister stressed on taking Uttar Pradesh forward in emerging areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Computing, Drone Technology, Green Hydrogen, Cyber ​​Security and Med-Tech. He said that strong coordination should be created between research institutes and industries so that new technologies can be used on a large scale and employment opportunities increase.

Contribution of IIT Kanpur and Med-Tech Initiative

In the meeting, Director of IIT Kanpur, Prof. Manindra Aggarwal gave a detailed presentation. He informed that in the Med-Tech sector, new technology is being developed for health services through “Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology”. This institute is planned to start from November and its proposal has been sent to the Medical Education Department.

Emphasis on Green Hydrogen Center of Excellence

The Chief Minister described the proposed Center of Excellence for Green Hydrogen as very important for the energy future of the state. He directed to work expeditiously on all aspects like production, storage, testing, safety and industrial use.

International level clinical research center for Ayurveda

Establishing an international level clinical validation center in the field of Ayurveda was also discussed in the meeting. The Chief Minister said that this will lead to scientific certification of Ayurvedic medicines, strengthen research, develop labs and make better use of herbal resources possible. This will give global recognition to India’s traditional medical system.

Steps towards self-reliance in drone technology

Regarding drone technology, the Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh should be made a major center for indigenous drone manufacturing and research. Keeping in mind the needs of the defense sector, he stressed on increasing self-reliance in drone technology.

Quantum technology and preparing for the future

Describing quantum technology as an important technology of the future, the Chief Minister gave instructions to collect resources for it at the state level and promote research. This will enable advanced technological development to solve complex problems.

While discussing the startup ecosystem in the meeting, it was told that a large number of startups have been incubated in IIT Kanpur, which have received recognition at the international level. The Chief Minister described the proposed “UP Deep-Tech Hub” in Noida as the main center of technology development in the state. He directed that world class facilities should be developed here for startups, research institutes and industry. Also, the “Research in IIT Kanpur, expansion and deployment from Noida” model should be implemented effectively.

Strengthening cyber security and digital infrastructure

It was informed in the meeting that advanced security solutions are being developed through Cyber ​​Security Technology Translation Research Park. This will further strengthen the digital system of the state.
