New Delhi: A brilliant half-century from skipper Rajat Patidar and late blitz from Venkatesh Iyer helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru score 201/8 against Rajasthan Royals in their Indian Premier League clash. The game in Guwahati was interrupted twice due to rain initially but finally when it began late at 8.15 PM, the fans were totally mesmerised at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium.
A full show entertaining clash saw RCB opener Phil Salt getting dismissed of the very first ball of the innings bowled by Jofra Archer while veteran Virat Kohli entertained the masses with his quick 16-ball 32-run knock which was laced with 7 boundaries.
Patidar leads the show for RCB
Thereafter, it was all about captain Patidar who smashed 63 runs off 40 balls including 4 sixes and as many boundaries to rebuild for RCB after few quick wickets. Devdutt Padikkal could not make much impact as he managed just 17 runs while all-rounder Krunal Pandya (1) also failed with the bat but a quick 29 off 15 balls by Iyer towards the end helped RCB cross the 200-run mark.

Romario Shepherd also scored 22 runs in 11 balls t lend his contribution while last match hero Tim David could only muster 13 runs. For the Royals, Jofra Archer (2/33), Ravi Bishnoi (2/32) and Brijesh Sharma (2/37) took two wickets each to make life difficult for the batters while Sandeep Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja also claimed a wicket each.
