After the Israeli-American action on Iran, a more fundamentalist government has been formed there. Israel is considering this new regime controlled by IRGC as a big threat. Even amid peace talks, Israel’s statements pose a threat of war.
Jerusalem: Israel and America’s bet to kill Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in military action seems to be backfiring. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) itself has warned its parliament that the new government that has come in Iran is more radical and dangerous than before. Intelligence reports suggest that the current leadership is controlled by fundamentalists of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Israel is considering this as a major threat to its existence.
This new revelation has come at a time when the war that has been going on for more than 40 days has created a huge crisis in the oil and petrochemical sector across the world. In the war with Iran, America suffered a loss of military assets worth millions of dollars and had to rescue two of its Air Force personnel in a very dangerous situation. Even after so many losses and retaliatory attacks, the situation in Iran has worsened. This assessment has put the Western powers in trouble. Israel claims to have carried out more than 8,000 airstrikes in Iran.
peace talks efforts
Meanwhile, to reduce tension, an important peace talks will start in Pakistan on Saturday. An American team led by US Vice President JD Vance, Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will participate in it. It is believed that a team led by Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf will come for talks from Iran’s side. There will also be ceasefire talks between Lebanon and Israel in Washington next week. But with Israel saying that it still has ‘some unfinished business’ in Iran, the dark clouds of war are once again looming over the region.
