In raw mango kadhi, you will get the flavor of coconut along with jaggery which makes it unique and also nutrient rich. To make this kadhi, you do not need curd or buttermilk at all nor do you have to make pakodas. What are the ingredients required?

To make this kadhi, you need 1 raw mango or more or less according to the sourness, coconut, ginger, green chilli, half cup gram flour, green coriander, 1-2 spoons of oil and for tadka, asafoetida, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin, curry leaves.

  • First of all, you have to peel the mango, boil it and take out its pulp.
  • In a mixer grinder, add mango pulp, gram flour, green chillies, ginger, green coriander, grated coconut and make a smooth paste.
  • Now heat oil in a pan. When it starts to smoke lightly, add asafoetida, cumin seeds and curry leaves and let it crackle. Add some turmeric.

  • Once the tempering is done, add the prepared raw mango puree to it and cook for two to three minutes while stirring.
  • Now you have to add water as per requirement. Now add salt as per taste and add a little red chilli powder.
  • To balance the sourness of mango in the kadhi, add a little jaggery powder to the kadhi.
  • Cook the curry thoroughly on low flame until it thickens slightly. If you want, you can add some tadka on top also.
