Netanyahu is not even listening to Donald Trump… Can a big war break out now? | Beirut Airstrikes Israel Lebanon Conflict Hezbollah Rocket Attack Ceasefire Crisis

Israel Lebanon Conflict: Ceasefire is in danger due to fresh Israeli air strikes in Beirut. Hezbollah also fired retaliatory rockets. Tension continues to rise in the Middle East amid more than 300 deaths.

The ceasefire which had raised hopes of peace, now seems to be breaking. Loud explosions were once again heard in Lebanon’s capital Beirut, when Israeli fighter planes carried out airstrikes on several areas. These attacks have worsened an already delicate situation. The special thing is that these attacks took place at a time when ceasefire was being said to be implemented between America and Iran.

Attacks did not stop even after Trump’s appeal

US President Donald Trump had appealed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reduce the attacks. It was told that Israel would keep its operation “low-key”, but the ground situation tells a different story. Instead of decreasing, the attacks seem to be intensifying anew, which has increased concern at the international level.

Hezbollah counterattacks, fires rockets at Israel

In response to the Israeli attacks, the Lebanese organization Hezbollah has also retaliated. Hezbollah claimed to have fired rockets at the northern Israeli cities of Kiryat Shmona and Misgav Am. The organization says that this action has been taken in response to the ceasefire violation by Israel. The organization has clearly said that their response will continue until “Israeli-America aggression” does not end.

More than 300 deaths, thousands injured

Even before this, there had been major attacks in Beirut, where densely populated areas were targeted. According to reports:

  • More than 300 people died
  • More than 1000 people injured

These attacks took place just hours after the US-Iran ceasefire was announced.

Growing controversy over ceasefire

Iran says that Lebanon was also included in the ceasefire with America, which means attacks should have stopped there too. But Israel and America do not agree with this claim. For this reason, this ceasefire now seems to be weakening. Iran’s news agency has also indicated that if the attacks in Lebanon do not stop, the talks will not move forward.

Diplomatic efforts continue, but uncertainty remains

Meanwhile, from America’s side, Vice President J.D. Vance is to lead a delegation that will also include Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. There is also a possibility of talks between Israel and Lebanon in Washington next week. However, Lebanon has made it clear that it wants a ceasefire first and only then will it engage in any talks.

Can a big war break out again?

Looking at the current situation, it is clear that instead of decreasing, tension in the Middle East is increasing. If no concrete solution is found soon, this conflict may take the form of a major war.

The ongoing attacks despite the ceasefire show how complex the reality on the ground is. On one side diplomatic efforts are going on, while on the other side missiles and bombs are falling. The coming days will decide whether this tension will turn into peace or will mark the beginning of another major conflict.
