New Delhi: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) shares have the potential to rise after declining in recent months, Brokerage firm JM Financial said. Initiating a Buy rating on HAL stock, the brokerage said the defence PSU has a strong order book and upcoming major projects could help boos the share price.
HAL share price target
JM Financial issued a ‘buy’ recommendation on the HAL stock, saying that the stock could witness over 20 per cent upside from its current level. The brokerage has given the share price target of Rs 4,875 over the next 12 months. At the time of writing this article on April 10, 2026, HAL share was trading at Rs 4100 apiece.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is expected to bag orders worth approximately Rs 9 lakh crore in the defence sector. HAL already has an order backlog of approximately Rs 2.5 lakh crore, which would provide revenue potential for years to come.
The brokerage estimates that the company’s revenue could grow at a rate of approximately 21 percent between FY26 and FY28. The defence PSU has projects such as LCA Tejas, HTT-40, and LCH Prachand. However, the company faces some risks, like the delays in receiving orders, increased competition from private companies, and delays in the supply of essential parts.
