After lighting the lamp, take it inside and make kajal from its flame. Then apply Kajal vaccine to the child. If you want, you can keep this kajal to apply to the child again and again. Remedy to avoid evil eye: On the day of Kalashtami, go to the temple and offer black thread at the feet of Kaal Bhairav. Then offer vermilion. Apply a little vermillion on the black thread also. Then, while chanting Bhairav ji’s mantra “Om Hreem Batukay Aapduddharanaya Kuru Kuru Batukay Hreem”, tie a thread around the wrist or neck of your right hand.
