He described Dacoit as a “true blockbuster” and lauded Adivi Sesh for delivering what he believes is his ‘best performance till date’. The actor also extended appreciation to writer Abburi Ravi and the entire screenplay team, pointing out that the film’s strong writing is one of its key strengths.

Nani reserved special praise for Mrunal Thakur, noting how beautifully she has immersed herself into the role. Calling it “one more feather in your hat,” he acknowledged her growing versatility and screen presence. He also applauded producer Supriya for backing what he termed one of the best films of the year, adding that the film boasts beautiful direction, a terrific background score, and striking visuals.

Directed by Shaneil Deo, Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha is a passion project for Adivi Sesh and has been mounted as a bilingual film in Telugu and Hindi. Other than him and Mrunal, the film also features Anurag Kashyap in a pivotal role, alongside a strong supporting cast that includes Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, Sunil, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla. The story revolves around an intense emotional conflict, following an angry convict seeking revenge against his former girlfriend who betrayed him.

Originally slated for release on March 19, the film was postponed to April 10 due to a crowded box office. In a recent interaction with Zoom, Sesh even compared the current box office wave of Dhurandhar 2 to the IPL, describing it as a phase that dominates for a while. However, he also added, “But I also think India is a vast country which has room for other kinds of cinema, different kind of movies and different kinds of people for them to catch different kinds of films.”
