Will Raghav Chadha floating a Gen-Z party after trouble with AAP?

New Delhi: Amid the ongoing rift between the Aam Aadmi Party and Raghav Chadha, questions are surfacing about his future. With the removal from the position of the party’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, many are speculating that the accountant-turned-politician will float a new party.

The speculation began on Wednesday after Chadha shared an Instagram reel by a creator named “Seedhathok” in his story, which suggested that the MP would float a “Gen-Z” party. Neither Chadha confirms nor denies, as he stated the idea as an “interesting thought”.

Creator on forming Gen-Z party

The creator in the video said, “At this point, everyone wants Raghav Chadha to make his own party called Gen-Z party or any other name that he finds suitable. However, if he joins some other party, he may not get this kind of support he is getting right now. Or maybe, he might actually get some hate. That is why starting his own party would be a good decision. He will get the support of the youth and win one-sided.”

The reel has so far garnered 48,000 likes and almost a thousand comments. While Chadha has not confirmed a split, his latest response and earlier use of the phrase “Picture abhi baaki hai” (The movie isn’t over yet) in response to party criticism.

Looking ahead

The exchange of barbs continues between Chadha, AAP leadership, and the BJP. Following the allegations imposed on Raghav Chadha that he was “soft” towards the ruling party, the BJP, with many speculating that he will join the BJP.

Former Delhi CM Atishi said, “Why are you so afraid of the BJP? Why are you afraid of questioning PM Narendra Modi?”

Another allegation put on him was that he refused to sign the impeachment motion against Chief Election Commissioner. Not just that his critics pointed out that he didn’t voice out the issues that were at the core of AAP’s politics and interests.

Despite the ongoing tensions with the party, he is still a member of the Rajya Sabha till 2028, when his term will end.
