NASA reveal what Artemis II crew is waking up to in space: Check out list

New Delhi: With the Artemis II mission crew heading back towards Earth after a historic trip around the moon this week, NASA has dropped the astronauts’ heavily anticipated morning playlist. NASA had launched the Artemis II mission on April 1st, sending four astronauts, which included Jeremy Hansen,  Victor Glover, Reid Wiseman and Christina Koch.

Each of the tracks was selected by the Moon crew to wake them up every day of their flight, continuing a tradition that began more than half a century ago. The present eight-song list includes:

  1. Sleepyhead by Young & Sick
  2. Green Light (feat. André 3000) by John Legend and André 3000
  3. In a Daydream by Freddy Jones Band
  4. Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan
  5. Working Class Heroes (Work) by CeeLo Green
  6. Good Morning by Mandisa and TobyMac
  7. Tokyo Drifting by Glass Animals and Denzel Curry
  8. Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie

Earlier in the week, they completed a lunar flyby, becoming the first astronauts to go around the moon in more than 50 years. The crew took some amazing photos of Earth, the far side of the moon, as well as an eclipse in space.

Freddy Jones Band then woke the crew with “In a Daydream”. This was followed by Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” playing in the morning when the crew started the day aboard the Orion. “Working Class Heroes (Work)” from Ceelo Green was the song for the fifth day, with the next day being “Good Morning” from Mandisa and Toby Mac.

“Tokyo Drifting” by Glass Animals and Denzel Curry made it to space. The final song revealed so far is the iconic “Under Pressure,” which was a result of a collaboration between the English rock group Queen and David Bowie.
