One of the fastest Malayalam films to hit Rs 100 crore

Trade analysts say Vaazha 2 has now become the third-fastest Malayalam film to cross Rs 100 crore worldwide. Only two titles achieved the milestone earlier: Mohanlal’s Empuraan and Thudarum.

The film’s rapid rise has also drawn comparisons with Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra, which reached the Rs 100 crore mark within a week before eventually becoming one of Mollywood’s biggest global successes. If the current pace continues, Vaazha 2 could potentially surpass that film’s lifetime earnings.
