Coming back to Maatrubhumi, the film stars Chitrangda Singh opposite Salman. The movie was initially reported to be based on the 2020 Indo-China Galwan clash. However, the movie now has a tag line, May War Rest In Peace, attached to it.
Last year, Salman unveiled the first motion poster of the film. Ahead of the official announcement, the superstar had shared a picture on Instagram and gave a glimpse of the poster, which was placed on a table in the background.
The Galwan Valley clash in 2020 was a deadly confrontation between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley, a disputed border region in Ladakh, India. The clash, which occurred on June 15, resulted in casualties on both sides, marking the first fatalities in the Sino-Indian border conflict in nearly 45 years.
