Maatrubhumi, previously titled Battle Of Galwan, is undoubtedly one of the highly anticipated films of 2026. An action-drama directed by Apoorva Lakhia, featuring Salman Khan in the lead role, has been making buzz ever since its announcement.
Amid the shoot, the actor was snapped by the paparazzi in a new look, and fans are obsessed with it. The star, who has been busy with his film, dubbing and other work commitments, made hearts skip a beat as he stepped out late Wednesday night in a much leaner look with a chiselled jawline. However, it was the return of the spectacles – one of his most iconic on-screen looks – that really set social media abuzz.
Salman Khan Steps Out In New Leaner Look
Many videos and pictures of the actor are going viral on social media in a black shirt and jeans, sporting his signature glasses, instantly reminding netizens of his youthful, romantic era. Many remembered the actor’s spectacle look from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and wrote, “Hand him a pen & paper, and that’s Sameer from ‘Jhonka Hawa Ka Aaj Bhi’ all over again.” Another one added, “Time passes but salman’s charm and swag still intact.” A third one commented, “One of the most good looking man for a reason! Salman with glasses straight from early 2000s style, an ICON.”

Earlier this week, taking to social media, Khan dropped a couple of clicks with his pet dog and captioned the post as, “3:55 – My Sukh.” Fans flooded the comment section with heart-eye and love emojis. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor can be seen smiling cutely as he pets his dog. The adorable duo has posed for the pictures, and these clicks definitely lightened up the feed of SK fans.
More About Maatrubhumi
Coming back to Maatrubhumi, the film stars Chitrangda Singh opposite Salman. The movie was initially reported to be based on the 2020 Indo-China Galwan clash. However, the movie now has a tag line, May War Rest In Peace, attached to it.
Last year, Salman unveiled the first motion poster of the film. Ahead of the official announcement, the superstar had shared a picture on Instagram and gave a glimpse of the poster, which was placed on a table in the background.

The Galwan Valley clash in 2020 was a deadly confrontation between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley, a disputed border region in Ladakh, India. The clash, which occurred on June 15, resulted in casualties on both sides, marking the first fatalities in the Sino-Indian border conflict in nearly 45 years. The fighting involved hand-to-hand combat using sticks and stones, as firearms were prohibited in the area.
