Kerala, Assam, Puducherry Assembly Elections Voting 2026 Live Updates: Polling for Assembly elections in Kerala, Assam, and Puducherry is set to be held today in a single phase. Voting will begin at 7 am and conclude at 5 pm, and the results will be announced on May 4.
The keenly-watched elections to the 126-member Assam Assembly will decide if the BJP will return to power in the state for its third straight term. The Kerala polls across 140 Assembly constituencies are seen as a triangular fight between three fronts: the CPI(M)-led LDF, the Congress-led UDF and the BJP-led NDA.
In Puducherry, voting is set to take place for 30 seats. At present, a coalition led by the All India NR Congress (AINRC), is in power in the Union Territory, with Chief Minister N Rangasamy at the helm and BJP backing.
