left everyone amused by his performance as a villain in Divya Dutta’s latest web series, Chiraiya. For the unversed, he played the role of Arun, who rapes his wife Pooja, played by Prasanna Bisht, on the first night of their wedding.
The web show got a positive response from the masses. The viewers hated Arun’s character so much as some people wanted to put him in a blue drum. In a recent interview, Siddharth Shaw opened up about the response from the audience and said that hating his character in Chiraiya proves he did a good job.
Siddharth Shaw Is Happy With Shocking Comments From People
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Siddharth Shaw said that he is enjoying the hate from the audience for his character. He got to know about a gruesome murder case in Meerut from March 2025 where a man’s dismembered body was found sealed inside a blue plastic drum. While sharing a comment from people, Siddharth said, “People want to put me in a blue drum, and I recently only got to know that reference. That is from the women’s perspective.”
Apart from that, he also revealed the men’s reactions were mostly explosive. However, after the reels and videos about film were praised by people, they made the whole male community silent. He feels that he has done a job well after seeing the hatred for him on social media.
Intimate Scene Made Siddharth Shaw Cry
While speaking about shooting the intimate scenes, Siddharth said that they brought in a lot of mental distress to him. On the first day when he shot intimacy for Suhagrat, Siddharth bowled for five minutes after giving his first take. The shooting was stopped as everybody on the set was trying to calm him down.
Siddharth said, “I had taken so much tension and anxiety that because of my stress, my lower back had completely frozen. I used to limp while shooting.” The actor further revealed that he also got a panic attack right after shooting the honeymoon scene of Chiraiya. He said that the role took a toll on his mental health. For the six months, he had a lot of anxiety. He revealed that his family couldn’t even watch those crucial sequences.
