New Delhi: Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler and Washington Sundar’s half centuries enabled them to score 210 for four against Delhi Capitals in an IPL 2026 game on Wednesday.
Delhi won the toss and elected to bowl, which allowed Gill (70 runs, 45 balls, 4×4, 5×6), Buttler (52, 27 balls, 3×4, 5×6) and Sundar (55, 32 balls, 6×4, 2×6) to flex their muscles at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground.
Gill lost his opening partner Sai Sudharsan (12) at the start of the third over to Mukesh Kumar (2/55) but remained unpertubed.
He found an ally in veteran Buttler, who used all his experience to score at a brisk pace. Together they forged a 60-run off 32 balls to lift the score to 79.
Buttler then was bowled trying to pull Kuldeep Yadav (1/42) in the eighth over as the ball kept low to go under the bat.
Sundar then came to the crease and took off from where Buttler left, combing for 104 runs in 60 balls for the third wicket.
Gill departed in the 18th over while attemtping to send Lungi Ngidi (1/24) into the stands but miscuing his shot to a slower delivery.
Sundar persihed in the last over after completion of his half century and ensuring that his team crosses the 200-run mark.
Delhi have won both their opening matches while Gujarat lost their first two games.
