In Kalaburagi, a 27-year-old youth killed his 57-year-old teacher girlfriend. Due to a money dispute, he murdered and burnt the body. The police have arrested the accused.
Kalaburagi: It is said that there is no age limit in love. But when this love deviates from the path and greed for money gets mixed into it, then how terrible its consequences can be, this incident of Kalaburagi is a living example of this. Having a relationship with a boy of her son’s age proved so costly for a 57-year-old government school teacher that she lost her life. The boy not only murdered her brutally but also burnt the dead body. At present, the murderer lover is now in the custody of the police.
What was the secret of the burnt corpse?
A few days ago, a half-burnt body of a woman was found in a deserted area near Kalamood village in Kamlapur taluk of Kalaburagi district. The body was so badly burnt that identifying it had become a big challenge for the police. When Kamlapur police intensified the investigation, it was found that the body was that of 57-year-old Jyoti Kapale, a resident of Kalaburagi. Jyoti was a teacher at Wanjarkheda Government School in Bhalki taluk of Bidar district.
Illicit relations and money games
Jyoti was not married and lived in Bhalki. During holidays, she used to come to her mother’s house in Anand Nagar, Kalaburagi. During this time, he got acquainted with 27 year old Amar Guddalli, who lived in the neighbourhood. There was an illicit relationship between the two for the last five years. Amar was married and had children, but he maintained this relationship with teacher Jyoti out of greed for money. Jyoti had spent around Rs 15 to 20 lakh on Amar. With this money, Amar also bought a luxurious ‘Thar’ car.
Money pressure made him a murderer
In recent times, Jyoti had started pressurizing Amar to return the money given to her. Due to this, Amar was angry and made a dangerous plan to remove Jyoti from the way. On April 3, he took Jyoti to many places including Gangapur Dattatreya Temple in his Thar car. When night fell, he took Jyoti to a secluded place near Kalamud and murdered her brutally with a sharp weapon prepared in advance. To destroy the evidence, he poured petrol kept in the trunk of the car, set it on fire and fled from there.
A murderer trapped in the police’s trap
When the police checked the mobile call records, their suspicion fell on Amar. He was absconding. When the police took him into custody and interrogated him strictly, he revealed the entire secret of the murder. Police have recovered the weapon used in the murder, petrol can and Thar vehicle from the accused. At present, murderer Amar is living in Kalaburagi Central Jail. Overall, an unhealthy relationship and greed for money took the life of a teacher and put the life of a young man behind bars.
