New Delhi: Conventional gaming mice use mechanical switches, that degrade over time, giving gaming mice a lifespan, that can significantly influence the purchasing decision. The new Pro X2 Superstrike ditches the mechanical switches for the Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS), an analogue system that allows for precise configuration of the clicking experience. The Superstrike technology sets a new benchmark for competitive gaming by combining adjustable actuation, rapid trigger capabilities and click haptics. General Manager of Pro and Sim at Logitech G, Robin Piispanen says, “Speed wins moments, winning moments win matches. With SUPERSTRIKE, we’re not just enhancing click speed, we’re giving pros a new level of adaptation, personalization and confidence. This is a true breakthrough in the mission of speed and control.”
The Superstrike technology can reduce click latency by up to 30 milliseconds, which is a significant advantage in competitive gaming. Users can use the paired G Hub Gaming Software to adjust how far the button must travel to register a click, allowing for very sensitive ‘hair-trigger’ levels, with different values set for the right and left buttons. The rapid trigger reset allows for a quick reset after a registered press, allowing users to spam faster. There are five rapid trigger reset levels. Haptic feedback replaces the physical click of a mechanical switch, with users having the ability to fine-tune the intensity levels from one to five, to customise the tactile experience. The mouse has been developed in consultation with top esports teams.
How Superstrike works
The fully analogue system has a click travel distance of 0.6 mm, and uses copper coils to generate an electromagnetic field. There are ten levels of actuation point adjustments available. The polling rate is 8Khz delivering input to the PC every 0.125 milliseconds, ensuring no delays, interruptions or lag, as stable and reliable as a wired connection. The 88G acceleration handles high-speed flicks, ensuring control in chaotic scenarios such as FPS firefights. The 888 inches per second tracking ensures pixel-perfect precision even during sweeping, fast-paced movements across the screen. In all, this is a gaming mouse made for top professionals. The Lunar Eclipse colour variant of the Logitec G Pro X2 Superstrike will be available in India, priced at Rs 23,995.
