Iran has described the recent ceasefire with the United States as a major victory, claiming Washington has, in principle, accepted its proposed 10-point plan.
The development follows US President Donald Trump’s agreement to a two-week ceasefire with Tehran. In a statement, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said the deal strengthens the country’s economic and geopolitical position.
A key provision in the plan is the “regulated passage” through the Strait of Hormuz. According to Iran, this will now take place under the coordination of its Armed Forces, giving Tehran greater strategic control over one of the world’s most critical shipping routes.
