New Delhi: OnePlus Nord 6 has launched in India, and it feels like OnePlus is trying to push the Nord series closer to flagship territory. The headline features are hard to ignore. A Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip and a massive 9,000mAh battery are not typical for this price range. It is clearly aiming at users who want performance and long battery life without spending premium money.
At the same time, I can’t help but think the specs sound almost too ambitious. A 165Hz display and that huge battery on a mid-range phone? It looks great on paper. But how it performs in daily use will matter more than the numbers.

The OnePlus Nord 6 starts at Rs. 38,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The 12GB variant costs Rs. 41,999. Sales begin on April 9 at 12pm.
Bank offers bring the price down further. Axis Bank and HDFC Bank credit card users can get up to Rs. 3,000 off, depending on the payment method. The phone comes in Fresh Mint, Pitch Black, and Quick Silver.

The phone has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It also supports 3840Hz PWM dimming and reaches up to 3600 nits brightness.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor with an Adreno 825 GPU. It is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. There is also a large cooling system inside to handle heat.

On the back, you get a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main camera with OIS and EIS. There is also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
For selfies, the phone has a 32-megapixel front camera. It also includes dual stereo speakers with OReality Audio.

The 9,000mAh battery is easily the biggest talking point. It supports 80W fast charging and 27W reverse charging. There is also bypass charging for gaming.
The phone runs OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. OnePlus promises four major updates and six years of security patches.

The Nord 6 comes with multiple IP ratings, including IP66, IP68, and IP69. It also has MIL-STD-810H certification. You get an in-display fingerprint sensor and a customizable Plus Key.
Connectivity options include 5G, Bluetooth 6, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C. The phone weighs 217g and is 8.5mm thick.
