Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved development schemes worth Rs 16,720 crore. Many major decisions were taken like purchase of gram and lentils for farmers, free books for students, Ujjain airport expansion and irrigation projects.

The state government has taken a big decision to give faster pace to the development schemes in Madhya Pradesh. In the meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, many important schemes were approved for different areas of the state. In these decisions, special attention has been given to important areas like education, agriculture, irrigation, forest conservation and infrastructure.

The government has approved a total of Rs 16,720 crore for projects related to the development and public welfare of the state. These schemes are expected to directly benefit farmers, students and common citizens.

Financial training and research institute to be built in Bhopal

It was also decided in the meeting that a modern Financial Training and Research Institute (FTRI) would be established in Bhopal. This institute will work to provide better and standardized training to the employees associated with financial administration and management.

This institute will be built in the RCVP Noronha Administrative and Management Academy campus. Through this, efforts will be made to increase transparency, discipline and efficiency in government work. About Rs 26 crore will be spent on its operation in the next three years.

Big decision for farmers: Rs 3,174 crore on purchase of gram and lentils

The government has also taken a big decision for the purchase of gram and lentils to provide relief to the farmers. For this, approval of Rs 3,174 crore has been given in the next three years.

This purchase will be done under the Price Support Scheme of the Government of India. According to this scheme, 25 percent of the total production of gram and 100 percent of the production of lentils will be purchased. This will help farmers to get fair price for their crops.

Micro irrigation project approved in Mandsaur

The government has approved Rs 88.41 crore for the Katna Micro Irrigation Project in Mandsaur district.

This project will provide irrigation facility to 3500 hectare area of ​​about 12 villages of Bhanpura tehsil. This is expected to reduce the water problem in farming to a great extent.

Approval of Rs 5,215 crore for forest conservation

A big budget has also been set for the conservation and restoration of forests in the state. The government has sanctioned Rs 5,215 crore for improvement and conservation of forest area. This scheme will be applicable from the year 2026 to 2031.

Under this, work will be done on regeneration, conservation and maintenance of old works of forests.

Many important decisions in education sector also

Many schemes related to education were also approved in the Council of Ministers meeting.

  • Rs 3,039 crore sanctioned for fee reimbursement scheme under RTE.
  • Rs 693 crore was approved to provide free books to students from class 9th to 12th.
  • The state government fixed a budget of Rs 940 crore for the expansion of PM SHRI Schools Scheme.

The objective of these decisions is to strengthen school education and provide better facilities to the students.

10 thousand every month to SC students studying in Delhi

Taking another important decision, the government has decided to provide financial assistance to those students of Scheduled Caste category who are pursuing higher education in Delhi.

Under this scheme, students will be given assistance of Rs 10,000 every month. Through this, students studying outside will get financial support.

Ujjain airstrip will be expanded

The government has also decided to develop the airstrip of Ujjain, so that big planes like Airbus can land here. For this, about 437.5 acres of land will be acquired and Rs 590 crore will be spent on it. This work will be done under UDAN Scheme. Ujjain is an important city in India and abroad from religious and tourism point of view. Mahakaleshwar is situated here and big religious events like Simhastha Kumbh also take place. Therefore, increasing air connectivity will benefit both tourism and trade.

The development of the state will get new momentum

The government says that these decisions will give new impetus to development projects in the state. The schemes launched for farmers, students and common citizens are expected to bring positive changes at the economic and social level.
