New Delhi: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi might face Jasprit Bumrah for the first time in his career when the Rajasthan Royals (RR) take on the Mumbai Indians (MI) in a blockbuster clash in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The battle promises to be an exciting one as Sooryavanshi has gotten off to a flyer in the IPL 2026, while Bumrah is arguably the best fast bowler in the world at present.
Sooryavanshi was part of RR’s playing XI when they locked horns with the Mumbai Indians last season, however, the 15-year-old didn’t get a chance to face Bumrah after getting dismissed on a duck by Deepak Chahar. Bumrah and Sooryavanshi will go head-to-head at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati and look to get the better of each other when MI take on RR on Tuesday.
The contest promises some other exciting battles as both teams have exceptional talent and quality in their ranks. Riyan Parag-led RR will head into the game on a confident note, having clinched a thriller against the Gujarat Titans in their last game to bag two wins in a row in their first two matches of the season. The battle between Rajasthan Royals pacer Jofra Archer and Mumbai Indians opener Rohit Sharma can also be a decisive one in the game. Rohit has been in fine form, and Archer has been terrorising opponents with his pace. Archer has dominated Rohit in the IPL, having dismissed him twice in just 10 deliveries. The Hitman has scored only 9 runs against the England pacer, and it remains to be seen who will come out on top when the two players go up against each other in Guwahati.
3) Ravi Bishnoi vs Suryakumar Yadav
Ravi Bishnoi picked up a four-wicket haul to bag the Player of the Match award and star in RR’s victory over Gujarat Titans in their last game.
