Bastar Investor Connect: New beginning of industrial development in Bastar. An investment proposal of 1,000 crore was received at the Investor Connect program in Jagdalpur. Local entrepreneurs Ragini Jaiswal and Sohail Rizvi’s startups will give new direction to employment and economy.

Raipur. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the initiative to deliver industrial development to remote areas of Bastar is now visible on the ground. Six months ago, the Chief Minister created a positive atmosphere on industrial investment by communicating with industrialists, traders, startup entrepreneurs and youth of Bastar region.

As a result of these efforts, investment proposals of about Rs 1,000 crore were approved during the Chhattisgarh Investor Connect Bastar program held in Jagdalpur.

Participation of local entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs from Maoist affected areas also participated in this program. Among them, the young woman entrepreneur of Kondagaon, Ragini Jaiswal and Entrepreneur Sohail Rizvi of Bijapur district were the main ones.

  • Ragini Jaiswal has started a fitness and nutrition unit by taking advantage of the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Processing Scheme.
  • Sohail Rizvi is setting up a modern rice mill with a capacity of 6 tonnes per hour in Bijapur.

Ragini Jaiswal- Nutrition based Startup

Ragini Jaiswal, a resident of Kondagaon, has set up a fitness and nutrition unit using local forest products, organic crops and herbs.

  • This unit is providing healthy food to mothers and children.
  • For this, he received assistance of Rs 9.53 lakh from the government, which includes 35 percent grant.
  • Ragini is becoming self -sufficient in collaboration with her 10 -member family and is committed to pursue nutritional services in future as well.

Sohail Rizvi- Rice Mill and New Enterprises in Bijapur

Sohail Rizvi, a resident of Gidam in Dantewada district, is starting a modern rice mill in Bijapur.

  • The cost of this rice mill is around 6 crore rupees and the government will get a grant of 90 lakh rupees.
  • 50 to 60 people are expected to get employment from this project.
  • Sohail is already operating fly ash BRICS unit at a cost of Rs 3 crore.

His father started a rice mill 17 years ago in Gidam, which Sohail is now giving new direction.
