According to the Panchang, this year the date of Vaishakh Amavasya will start on Thursday, April 16 at 08:11 pm. It will end the next day on Friday, April 17 at 05:21 pm. In such a situation, on the basis of Udayatithi, Vaishakh Amavasya will be celebrated on Friday, 17th April.
Vaishakh Amavasya Snan-Daan Subh Muhurat (Vaishakh Amavasya 2026 Snan-Daan Subh Muhurat)
It would be good to take bath and donate in Brahma Muhurta on the day of Vaishakh Amavasya. If you are not able to take bath during Brahma Muhurta then do it after sunrise. On Vaishakh Amavasya, Brahma Muhurta will be from 04:25 to 05:09. On the day of Vaishakh Amavasya, sunrise will be at 05:54 am.
Vaishakh Amavasya Puja Vidhi
- On the day of Vaishakh Amavasya, wake up in the morning and take bath in a holy river, lake or at home.
- Then make balls of sesame seeds, jaggery and flour and offer them to the ancestors.
- For Pitru Tarpan, add black sesame seeds to water and offer it. e
- Donate food, clothes and Dakshina to the needy on this day.
- Worship Lord Shiva and chant Mahamrityunjaya Mantra.
