2 innocent people die after eating ready-made dosa batter in Ahmedabad, parents fighting for life and death. Ahmedabad Food Poisoning Two Children Dead After Eating Dosa Batter

2 children died after eating ready-made dosa batter in Ahmedabad and their parents are seriously ill. The family has blamed the dairy’s solution, while the dairy owner has denied the allegations. Police and food department are investigating the matter.

Ahmedabad: Amidst complaints of adulterated food in city hotels, a shocking case has come to light from Chandkheda area of Ahmedabad. Here, two children lost their lives after eating dosa made from ready-made dosa batter brought from the market, while their parents are fighting for life and death in the hospital.

Vimal Prajapati and Bhavana Prajapati, residents of Chandkheda, had purchased the dosa batter from a local dairy. After consuming it, the entire family started having severe vomiting and diarrhea, which turned into food poisoning. In this tragic incident, three-month-old baby Raha and four-year-old girl Mishri died during treatment. Meanwhile, mother Bhavna and father Vimal are admitted in a private hospital, where their condition remains critical.

A question is also arising as to how the three-month-old girl died, because children at such a young age do not eat solid food like dosa. It is suspected that when the mother’s health deteriorated after eating Dosa, she might have breastfed the child, which had an impact on the child.

family anger

Vimal’s father Gaurishankar Prajapati said, “My son had bought the batter from Ghanshyam Dairy on IOC Road at 8 pm on April 1. After eating it the next morning, he started vomiting, so we admitted him to the hospital. But we did not know that it was because of the batter, so my daughter-in-law fed dosa to her daughter with the same batter. Later, both of them also fell ill.” He has demanded strict action against the culprits.

At the same time, Ketan Patel, owner of Ghanshyam Dairy, has rejected these allegations. He said, “We sell 100 to 125 kg of solution a day. The same batch of solution has been used by our relatives and hundreds of customers, no one faced any problem.” The owner’s brother Vipulbhai said, “We have checked the CCTV footage. Before that couple, 10 people and after them 10 people had bought the solution from the same drum. I myself have talked to all of them, no one had any problem. If the solution was bad, why would only one family have problems?”

Chandkheda police and officials of the food department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation reached the spot and collected food samples. The help of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) is being taken to find out the real reason. Only after the postmortem report of the children comes, it will be clear whether it was just food poisoning or there was some adulteration in the food.
