New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited Assam to address three election rallies. The Assembly election in Assam will take place on April 9 and the results will be declared on May 4.

‘I couldn’t have gathered this many people in Gujarat’

PM Modi, during the first rally, said, “There’s no space to even stand on the road. This ground is packed. I’ve worked in Gujarat for years. If I had to hold a meeting at ten or eleven in the morning, I couldn’t have gathered this many people. You have broken records.”

‘NDA government to do a hat-trick in Assam’

He hailed the people in the state and said that they “have accomplished two things this time. First, the BJP-NDA government will achieve a hat-trick in Assam. And the second thing that’s going to happen is the big names of the Congress royal family, who are sitting in Delhi. After the Assam election results, the people of Assam will make their record of a century of defeats.”

PM Modi added, “Your vote this time will further strengthen the foundation of building a developed Assam. We are taking Assam towards that height which the people of Assam deserve.”

Speaking on the Foundation Day of the BJP, PM Modi said, “On this occasion, I congratulate all the workers associated with the BJP family in the country and the world. With the mantra of ‘Nation First’, we are all devotedly engaged in the service of Mother India. Our resolve is to make the country developed, and with this very resolve, in this election too, the BJP is seeking your blessings.”
