In Bihar’s capital Patna, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has opened a front against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her party TMC. Responding to TMC’s manifesto released for the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, Owaisi seriously accused Mamata Banerjee of having a “double face”. Owaisi raised the question that when the High Court had canceled 5 lakh Backward Class (OBC) certificates last year, which included the certificates of about 3 lakh Muslims, then why did Mamata Banerjee remain silent?
